About Dr. Emmanuel Abel

In the year 2019, I embarked on a remarkable journey that would forever change my life and the world around me. It all began with a simple idea and an unyielding determination to make a difference in our environment.

I started my recycling business in the most unlikely of places – the backyard of my car stand. With a fire burning inside me, I turned discarded plastic bottles into valuable resources. It was a modest start, but I knew deep down that I was onto something bigger…

Why Recycling?

Recycling brings numerous benefits that go beyond just reducing the amount of waste in our environment. It plays a key role in protecting our surroundings and boosting our economy. By recycling, we can significantly reduce the pollution that affects our air and water. This means cleaner air to breathe and cleaner water to drink, helping to protect our health and that of our children.

Moreover, recycling helps us save valuable natural resources. By reusing materials like plastic, paper, glass, and metals, we reduce the need to cut down trees, mine for minerals, and use up water. This conservation helps preserve these resources for future generations, ensuring that our environment remains healthy and sustainable.

Recycling also helps fight climate change. It usually takes less energy to make products from recycled materials than from new ones. This lower energy use means fewer greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere, which helps reduce the effects of global warming. Additionally, by recycling, we protect wildlife by minimizing the destruction of their natural habitats and reducing the exposure to harmful substances.

The economic benefits of recycling are equally important. The recycling industry creates jobs for many people, from those who collect and process recyclable materials to those who manufacture new products from them. These jobs provide much-needed employment opportunities and contribute to the stability of our economy.

Recycling is not just good for the environment; it can also be a profitable venture. By collecting and processing recyclable materials, individuals can earn money by selling these materials to recycling plants and manufacturers who need them for production. Entrepreneurs can start small recycling businesses, focusing on collecting and sorting materials like plastics, metals, and paper, which are always in demand. Additionally, innovative business ideas, such as creating products from recycled materials or providing recycling services to communities and businesses, can open up new income streams. With the right approach, recycling can be a lucrative business opportunity, turning waste into wealth while contributing to a cleaner, greener Nigeria.
